‘We either work safely, or we don’t work’. That’s the principle we live by every day. This commitment was recently reaffirmed when we achieved Safety Culture Ladder (SCL) Level 3 Original, demonstrating that safety is deeply embedded in our organisation. While this is a great achievement, we know that safety is about much more than certificates. It is about the choices people make every single day.
Working safely is about much more than simply following a set of rules. It means recognising risks, speaking up when necessary, and looking out for the people you work with. To make this safety culture visible, we present the Safety Award twice a year, an award that recognises employees who truly make a difference.
This edition of the Safety Award goes to Daniel Rasoi, a concrete worker at Voton. On one of the production lines, he works alongside his colleagues every day to manufacture concrete foundation piles. In doing so, he not only focuses on his own safety, but also on the safety of the people around him.

Commitment
This is also reflected in the nominations. One colleague wrote: “He not only thinks about his own safety, but also about the safety of his colleagues.” Another described him as “a true team player who always looks out for the people around him.” He was also praised as “the safest person and someone who is constantly aware of the safety of his colleagues.”

For Daniel, this comes naturally. “I care about people’s safety. We work here together, and that means you don’t just look after yourself, but also after each other. I think that’s only logical. After all, you want everyone to return home healthy and safe at the end of the day, right?”
That commitment makes him a well-deserved winner of the Safety Award. It is an achievement that may have Daniel’s name on it, but it also demonstrates what can be achieved together when safety is part of everyday work. Because a strong safety culture is built on more than just rules. It is created when colleagues take responsibility for one another and show, every single day, that working safely is something we do together. That way, everyone can return home safely at the end of the working day.
Congratulations, Daniel, on this well-deserved and wonderful recognition!
