About Be Aware of Safety Day
Be Aware of Safety Day is an annual initiative organized by Bouwend Nederland, Techniek Nederland, OnderhoudNL, and Aannemersfederatie Nederland.
Each year, hundreds of companies in the construction, engineering, infrastructure, and maintenance sectors dedicate this day to raising awareness about safe and healthy working conditions.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the central theme is “Safe behavior works every day.” This motto highlights the importance of safe behavior as the foundation of a secure working environment. Safety is not a one-time effort, it requires continuous attention, awareness, and commitment from everyone, every single day.
