He shares his story, his work, and his pride as a Gilde professional.
Who are you, what do you do, and where are you from?
“My name is Iulian Trofin, I am 29 years old and come from Romania. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my girlfriend and daughter. Since 2023, I have been working as an electrician for De Gilde Groep.”
What project are you currently working on and what are your tasks?
“I’ve been working for De Gilde Groep for several years, and since the beginning of this year, I’ve been active on the RWG project at the Maasvlakte. There, I’m responsible for connecting cabinets, of course according to the technical drawings.”
What do you enjoy or find interesting about your work?
“I really enjoy my work and am motivated every day to go to the project. It perfectly matches what I like doing. On top of that, I work with my father-in-law and a good friend, which makes the job even more pleasant. I also have a good relationship with the supervisor. After a recent inspection, it turned out that my connection work was flawless, which is, of course, great to hear.”
What are you proud of within the project?
“I’m proud of the positive feedback I’ve received several times from the supervisor. He’s not only happy with the quality of our work but especially appreciates our mentality and reliability. That’s very important to me and gives me a lot of satisfaction.”

Do you have any ambitions, goals, or plans inside or outside of work?
“My ambition is to grow into a supervisor role within a long-term project.”
